Refund & Cancellation

1. Overview

At kloudboard, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This policy outlines our approach to refunds, cancellations, and billing practices. We strive to be fair and transparent in all our dealings.

2. Free Plan

Our Free plan is completely free forever with no credit card required. You can use it indefinitely with access to core features including 10 GB of storage, 3 active projects, and collaboration with team members and freelancers. There is nothing to cancel or refund on the Free plan.

3. Subscription Billing

3.1 Billing Cycle

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on either a monthly or annual basis, depending on your chosen plan. Your billing date is based on when you first upgraded to a paid plan.

3.2 Per-Seat Pricing

Additional team members and freelancers beyond the free tier are billed per seat. When you add new seats mid-cycle, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.

3.3 Storage Add-ons

Extra storage can be added at $10 per TB per month. Storage charges are billed monthly regardless of your subscription cycle.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings. Navigate to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. No phone calls or emails required — you have full control.

4.2 What Happens When You Cancel

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
  • You retain full access to all features until the period ends
  • Your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan after the paid period expires
  • All your data and content remains intact on the Free plan
  • If you exceed Free plan limits, you'll be prompted to either remove team members/projects or resubscribe

4.3 Removing Team Members

When you remove paid team members or freelancers, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle. You will not be charged for removed seats in subsequent billing periods.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 General Policy

We generally do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your paid period, but no refund is issued for the remaining time.

5.2 Exceptions

We may provide refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a technical error on our part
  • Duplicate charges: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same period
  • New subscriptions: If you cancel within 7 days of your first paid subscription and have not extensively used the service
  • Service unavailability: If the service was unavailable for an extended period due to issues on our end

5.3 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions receive a discount equivalent to 2 months free. If you request a refund on an annual plan after the 7-day window, any refund amount will be calculated based on monthly rates, not the discounted annual rate.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at support@kloudboard.com with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge in question
  • The reason for your refund request
  • Any relevant screenshots or documentation

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2-3 business days. Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days and will appear on your original payment method.

7. Plan Changes

7.1 Upgrading

When you upgrade your plan or add seats, you'll be charged a prorated amount immediately for the remainder of your current billing cycle.

7.2 Downgrading

When you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle. You continue to have access to your current plan features until then.

8. Beta & Promotional Pricing

During our beta period, all features are free. Beta users who sign up for paid plans after launch will receive their promotional discount (50% off forever) for as long as their subscription remains active. Canceling and resubscribing may result in loss of promotional pricing.

9. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account entirely, you can do so from your Account Settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data before deletion. Active subscriptions should be canceled before requesting account deletion.
