kloudboard vsDropbox
if you're paying for Dropbox to store files, then bolting on Replay for reviews, Dash for AI, and a separate stack for chat, payments, and tasks, kloudboard folds all of it into one workspace built for creative teams.
Start free — no card requiredyour whole project lives in one place, not just the files
Dropbox is, at its core, file storage. Tracking the work around those files, the kanban board, due dates, who owns what, lives in tools you pay for separately. kloudboard wraps frame-accurate review, board tracking with card-health analytics, chat, payments, and a calendar around the same files, so the project and the assets aren't in two different products.
frame-accurate review without a $18-or-$30 per-seat team plan
Dropbox Replay does timestamped, draw-on-frame review well, and guests can comment without an account, that's genuinely good. But getting it inside Dropbox means a Standard (~$18/user/mo) or Advanced (~$30/user/mo) team plan with a 3-user minimum, and upload caps on the lower tiers. kloudboard includes frame-accurate video and image review, timestamped comments, and spatial draw-on-frame annotation on the Free plan, with the same no-account guest reviewing.
pay freelancers from the same workspace you review their work in
Dropbox has no way to pay the contractors who deliver into it, you finish the review, then switch to PayPal, Wise, or your bank. kloudboard pays freelancers directly via Dots, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, ACH, crypto, Payoneer, and international bank transfer, at roughly a $1 flat fee plus a small percentage, right next to the approved deliverable.
AI that's included, not a paid add-on on top of a paid plan
Dropbox Dash, the AI search and chat layer, is a paid add-on to Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise, so AI sits on top of an already per-seat bill. kloudboard includes the Kloudie AI assistant (built on Claude Haiku 4.5) on every plan: 1,000 credits/month free, plus 10,000 more per seat on Pro.
real free for a small team, not 2 GB and a sales call
Dropbox Basic gives one person 2 GB across 3 devices, real team features start at the 3-user-minimum Standard plan. kloudboard's Free plan covers up to 5 members, 3 projects, 10 GB, and 1,000 AI credits a month, and guests and clients are always $0 with no seat charge, on any plan.
social performance you can't get from a storage tool
Once a creative team ships content, Dropbox has no view into how it performs. kloudboard connects YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook for social analytics inside the same workspace, so the place you review and approve a video is also where you see how it did.

Honest pricing
kloudboard
Free forever for up to 5 members, 3 projects, 10GB and unlimited free guests. Pro is a flat $20/member/mo ($180/yr) — video review, freelancer payments, and a free AI assistant all included.
Dropbox
Dropbox Basic is free with just 2 GB of storage across 3 devices and 30-day version history; paid plans start at Plus ($11.99/user/mo billed annually, 2 TB, single user), while team plans Standard (~$18/user/mo) and Advanced (~$30/user/mo) require a 3-user minimum, and AI search (Dash) and standalone video review (Replay) are paid add-ons rather than included.
where Dropbox is the better fit
If your team's primary need is large-scale, rock-solid cloud file storage and sync, with multi-terabyte pooled capacity, mature desktop sync, long version-history windows (up to a year on Advanced), and a deep web of integrations and OS-level file access, Dropbox is purpose-built for that and does it better. kloudboard's Drive is built to support creative workflows (10 GB free, +50 GB per Pro seat), not to be your terabyte-scale storage backbone. Plenty of teams keep Dropbox for bulk storage and use kloudboard for the workflow around it.
Frequently asked questions
Is kloudboard really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever and includes up to 5 members, 3 projects, 10 GB of storage, 1,000 AI credits a month, frame-accurate video and image review, chat, and free guests. No credit card required. Pro is $20/member/mo (or $180/member/yr) for unlimited projects plus 50 GB and 10,000 AI credits per seat.
Can I migrate from Dropbox to kloudboard?
You can move your files into kloudboard's Drive and run your projects, reviews, and team there. kloudboard does not currently offer an automated one-click Dropbox import (we do offer one-click Trello board import), so file migration is a manual upload today. Many teams also keep Dropbox for bulk storage while running their workflow in kloudboard.
Does kloudboard integrate with Dropbox?
No. kloudboard does not currently have a Dropbox integration. The integrations we do support are chat bridging for Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp, Google Calendar sync, one-click Trello import, and social OAuth for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook.
kloudboard vs Dropbox for creative teams and content creators?
Dropbox is excellent at storing and syncing files, and Replay handles video review well, but tracking work, chatting, paying freelancers, and measuring social performance all happen in separate tools. kloudboard is built specifically for creative teams to do all of that in one workspace, with frame-accurate review and included AI on every plan.
Is Dropbox Replay included, or do I pay extra?
Inside Dropbox, Replay comes with the Standard and Advanced team plans (3-user minimum, roughly $18 and $30 per user per month), with upload limits on the lower tiers, and there's also a standalone Replay add-on. kloudboard includes frame-accurate review, timestamped comments, and draw-on-frame annotation on the Free plan, and guest reviewers never need an account.
